Technique Barbells
Technique Barbells160cm / 5-10KG
Weightlifting, along with Cross Training and weightlifting in general, requires technique, focus, and coordination—not just brute strength. To learn the correct movements and build a solid foundation, it’s essential to start with technical and lightweight barbells, ideal for beginners and young athletes. Discover the Lacertosus® Technique Barbell range, designed for those taking their first steps into this world.
Barbells for Learning Technique and Coordination
Weightlifting: lifting a barbell from the ground and bringing it overhead. Sounds simple, right? At first glance, Cross Training, Weightlifting, and weightlifting in general are sports accessible to everyone. But mastering the proper techniques and movements is far from easy. It’s challenging for younger individuals who begin exploring barbells during adolescence, and even more so for those who take up Weightlifting as adults. Those unfamiliar with gym environments might think that brute strength is the key component of weightlifting, but that’s not the case at all: when faced with a barbell loaded with plates, what truly matters is technique, focus, and the connection between muscles and the nervous system. To improve over time, avoid injuries, and enjoy the process, it’s crucial to learn proper lifting techniques, pay attention to every single movement, and develop perfect coordination. Only after this foundation is built can you move on to true physical strengthening. But where do you start? With standard 20-kilogram Olympic barbells loaded with elite lifters’ plates? Absolutely not: to learn the correct movements, you need to practice with lighter barbells designed for beginners, which is why we at Lacertosus® have developed the Technique Barbell range, created specifically for those starting out in Cross Training and Weightlifting.
Junior Barbells and Technical Training Barbells
So, what can you find in this section dedicated to beginner barbells? First and foremost, of course, is the technical bar, the first tool every aspiring lifter should start with. Traditionally, these exercises are performed using flimsy PVC pipes that are unattractive, uncomfortable, and far from durable. That’s why we decided to create beautiful, durable, practical, and functional technical bars, complete with 91 cm reference rings, fully IWF compliant, to help you start the right way. For younger lifters—or rather, the youngest—we’ve also developed the Junior Bar, an extremely lightweight barbell that even children can use to practice Weightlifting movements. In this section, you’ll also find other barbells designed to improve your technique: too often, heavy or low-quality barbells are used for this purpose, which is far from ideal. Instead, we offer lightweight, flexible barbells made from the best materials, featuring respectable weight capacities and grips compliant with IWF standards. Why risk compromising the foundation of your weightlifting journey with mediocre technical barbells?
